Blog Shopping

No.....I'm not talking about shopping for new blogs, but actually shopping FROM blogs.  There seems to be quite a group of enterprising women out there in the blog world.  They've put together "shops" from their blogs in which to sell items.

Many of you know that since I'm limited for shopping here on the island, I do much of my shopping from the Internet, so I decided to check out some of these blogs.  The first one I went to was Joy Of.......and found a vintage door plate which I thought would look great when utilized as a hook to hang something from.  I just love the door plate......makes my imaginative mind wonder what type of door it was on many years ago.  And what might have been allowed to enter through that door....... or kept out.

I really love this door plate and now......look what I got to go with it.  I traveled over to Sadie Olive's place, where she has antiques, collectibles and all things inspiring.

Doesn't this look great hanging on my screened lanai?  And the colors couldn't coordinate more perfectly.  I just love the sign and it depicts my love for the flowers and feathered birds outside.

I gave you the links for these really fun places, so why not pop on by for a visit and do some browsing.

See you next time..........

That looks neat! I like old glass door knobs for hanging things. My mom had some, but I can't find them.
I'm going to check out the blog shops tonight.

Absolutely love the door knob and the sign! What a clever use for the knob! Don't you just love reusing old things? Will have to check out both of those blog spots, might find some more whimsical things for my garden! Thanks for the info!

Terri I love the doorplate - Joy has the neatest items. I bought some things from her early in the year and was really pleased with them. Also love the sign - anything with writing is right up my alley!!

Hope all is OK down your way - look forward to hearing from you.
Hugs - Mary.

It looks like that door knob out of Alice In Wonderland. Very cute.

And for your love of France and French, too, my dear....Both are so very very pretty! I am going to visit those two blogs, right now!
What a neat idea. A combination blog and personal store. That's better than these Google ads I see constantly for this or that website where they're always trying to sell you something that usually you can find just as easily locally. I do want to internet shop more for Xmas this year as you can find unique gifts more easily.

Terri: I loved reading your blog, about your flowers and your life at Cedar Key, a place I always loved. In fact, my non-fiction Haunt Hunter's Guide to Florida) has 2 chapters, one about Island Hotel and the other about Shell Mound, where I almost got bitten by a rattler when I visited the spot. I can't wait to read your book coming next year. Also liked your review about the woman from Bombay, a place I'd love to visit some day. Your blogs are so interesting! Joyce Moore
