Me Doing a Meme?

If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you'll know that I  don't do "memes."  Why?  Usually because I have other things to talk about here on my blog.

 

Oh, you don't know what a meme is?  Don't feel bad.....it was ages before I understood what the word actually MEANS.  It's a French word.....and means "same."  Like in "we got the same results." And in the blog world it's somebody "tagging" you to do a meme which is usually a series of questions on various topics. Everybody answers the same questions and then tags somebody to "do the same." I didn't get tagged, but my friend Millie at Thoroughly Modern Millie, did one recently and asked who would like to join in.

 

Since I'm short of time for blogging lately, I thought I just might do that.  So here goes:

FOUR JOBS I HAVE HAD:

 

File Clerk (in highschool)

Waitress

Legal Secretary

Registered Nurse

 

FOUR PLACES I HAVE BEEN:

Paris (Big surprise, huh?)

Brugge, Belgium

Scandinavia

 

FOUR FAVORITE FOODS:

 

Alaskan King Crab

Roast Pork

Creme Brulee

Escargot (preferably in France)

 

FOUR ALL TIME FAVORITES:

 

MOVIE:  Casablanca

BOOK:  The Kite Runner

PLAY:  Fiddler on the Roof

SINGER:  Frank Sinatra (but I have many others)

 

So there ya have it.  Feel free to join in.  And I'll see you here next time............

Thats funny, Mom wanted the kids to call her Meme, actually I think she spells it Mimi, for grandmom. They always did when they were younger, now it is Grandmom & Poppop for my dad. Ok, well here goes my 4x4; jobs; Secretary plus (now), Dive Master (fun one), Beverage girl(at Morrisons in high school)(aways had cold hands from ice), Typesetter (boring one).
Places; Bahamas, Belize, Cancun, Vancouver.
Fav food; home made Pizza, home made Lasagna, my moms meatball stew, good scallops.
Movie; Dr. Zhivago
Book; Atlas Shrugged (Ayn Rand)
Play; South Pacific
Singer; Sarah McLachlan
Oh; lets add actor; Cutie; George Clooney :-)
that was fun, but it got me thinking, gee there are alot more than 4 or these things!

I did this one (Well almost like this one) a long time ago....I personally don't think I could pick out ONE Favorite Film or Book or Play Or Singer....I have too many favorites.....LOL!
Aren't you pleased with the WINS that Obama is wracking up? I hope this keeps up.

I used to always turn down memes until I read an article that a meme can sometimes help people relate to you better. Show them sides you'd never thought to show on your own. So I am glad you did this one. We share the same favorite movie. I just finished "Thousand Splendid Suns" and can't decide on the "Kite Runner". The Suns was just so sad. Those people just live in constant fear.

Anyway thanks for showing us new things about you!
